These pumps belong to the Jolly series, their distinguishing feature is their external application to the suction tank through a flanged plug, thus the pumped liquid contacts only the inner parts of the pump.
These pumps can run dry with no danger of damaging the linings.
In particular, they are ideal for replacing horizontal pumps requiring NPSH, when liquid properties are such as to advise against mechanical seals or stuffing boxes, when an ordinary vertical pump cannot be inserted in the tank, and when it is important to prevent the slightest leak of dangerous or highly acid liquid.
AUS-VE Series pumps need no level control, they can run dry and start pumping again as fluid flows into the casings.
